The “Good Deed” That Ruined My Day 🙄 on a JR(Japan train🚃🇯🇵)
This happened when I was on a JR train.

I was just sitting in one of those box-style seats, doing nothing special, and apparently there was some trash near my feet.
Honestly, it wasn’t mine at all. It must have rolled over from somewhere and just happened to end up near me.
Then, a little before the last stop, right when everyone starts standing up and getting ready to leave —
this older woman suddenly came up to me and said, “Pick that up. I’ll throw it away for you,” with a really irritated look on her face.
Without thinking, I just said, “Thank you.”
But after I got off the train, this weird discomfort and irritation slowly started building up.
Like… what was that?
I didn’t litter. I was just sitting there.
And yet, I felt like I was treated as if I were “the person who made the mess,” and that honestly felt pretty unpleasant.
Maybe it’s because I hadn’t slept much after a night shift, but yeah… it really got to me.
And on top of that, she had this “I’m doing a good thing” kind of face. I mean, sure, what she did was technically a good thing… but still, it made me go, “Seriously?”

Anyway, I guess it’s normal to feel irritated in situations like this. I just want to get out of this mood as soon as possible.
My personal way of recovering is pretty simple:
Put on my earphones and blast music a bit louder than I probably should. It’s simple, but it works the best.
It helps stop the loop of overthinking.
Then I rant to AI using voice input, and play music again.
After that, I usually get back to a “meh, whatever” kind of mood. Not completely fine, but good enough.
Well… it is what it is.

When something unpleasant happens, I think of it like the Korean flag 🇰🇷 — red and blue.
If blue is good things and red is bad things, then life is probably just a mix of both, half and half.
So when something bad happens, I just tell myself, “Alright, then something good will come later.”
I kind of choose to believe in that.

Anyway, I’m going to go overload my brain with music a bit more and recover.
Next time, I want to write something more meaningful when I’m actually in a good mood.
