The Weekly Recap 6/12/26: LSI Alumni Achievements Driving Medtech and Healthtech Forward

In a successful week for the medical technology companies in the LSI Alumni community, we saw LSI Alumni receive new funding, achieve clinical milestones, receive awards, and much more on the road to LSI Asia ’26 in Singapore (June 30 — July 2).

Acorai Won the CSI Congress Start-up Competition, including a $50K prize from the Jon DeHaan Foundation. The company is developing a device for heart failure management through non-invasive cardiac and pulmonary pressure sensing, to help reduce hospitalizations and readmissions.

Aevice Health

Announced a new partnership with Parkway MediCentre to roll out one of Singapore’s first home-based pediatric asthma monitoring programs. Powered by the AeviceMD Monitoring System, the program allows clinicians to monitor a child’s respiratory health during sleep, the critical window when symptoms could be missed.

CeQur

Closed a $100M Series E financing round to accelerate the commercial growth of the CeQur Simplicity™. CeQur Simplicity is a convenient, discreet, and injection-free wearable insulin patch that simplifies mealtime dosing.

CoapTech

Awarded a Build Our Future Grant for $478K from the Maryland Department of Commerce. The grant will help the company establish a local manufacturing hub for sterilely packaged medical devices, in partnership with The LaunchPort, at City Garage in Baltimore, including the development of sterile thermoform equipment.

EBR Systems

Announced that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services initiated a National Coverage Determination process to evaluate uniform Medicare coverage for leadless left ventricular endocardial pacing used in cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT). The milestone supports broader access to the company’s WiSE system, a wireless cardiac pacing device for heart failure, which delivers leadless left ventricular pacing and integrates with existing pacemakers, defibrillators, and CRT devices.

GT Medical Technologies

Closed an oversubscribed $100M Series E financing led by new investor Viking Global Investors, with participation from existing investors including MVM Partners, Gilde Healthcare, Evidity Health Capital, Medtech Venture Partners, and FemHealth Ventures. The funding will support expanded commercial and operational initiatives following the release of final data from the company’s ROADS randomized controlled trial.

Neuronoff

Implanted the first patient in a DOD-funded, double-blinded, randomized controlled clinical trial (RCT) of the Injectrode®, evaluating the safety and efficacy of the Injectrode for the treatment of neurogenic bladder in individuals with spinal cord injury. The trial is being conducted at UT Health Houston under principal investigator Dr. Argy Stampas, MD, MS.
