Thank You For The Love That Doesn’t Make Me Feel Lonely

A home where I feel safe and warm. A home where every corner is filled with love that the person makes me touch.

Who would’ve thought I was searching for light all along? And then, you came.

I used to be alone — just me and my own space. I never asked to be seen. I was used to having this home all to myself. Singing, cooking, watching, and playing. Cleaning this home alone for years. I never asked for someone to come. I rather have the whole place for myself.

But the quiet, peaceful surroundings sometimes made me wonder what it would feel like to have someone to laugh with. Someone to watch your favorite series or movies with. Someone who could actually cook delicious food for you, someone to clean the house with, someone who would take care of you. Would I ever get to experience those things? Or would I just live alone forever?

Then you came — suddenly. No warning, no signs, you just arrived. And I thought I didn’t need you, I thought I was just fine without you but…

Now I have someone to laugh with, someone who makes me laugh at the stupid jokes he makes. I have someone who actually cooks for me, someone to watch my favorite movies and series with, and even his favorites too. He understands the version of me I never let other people see.

I have him now.

The home I once knew as quiet and empty is now filled with laughter, yaps, the smell of the food in the kitchen, and music playing from the other room. Everything once silent is now doubled, because I am no longer alone anymore.

I finally have a model in my photography — not just the scenery anymore, but him, too, becoming part of the picture not just in my camera but also in my life.

The home finally felt warm and alive.
