DAML — The Digital Asset Modeling Language. An open-source, platform-neutral language that allows developers to create applications regardless of the underlying technology, be it DLT or database.

DAML lets the developers focus on solving the business logic, and not be stuck on the infrastructure. DAML is a new Contract Oriented Language designed specifically for developing applications on top of Distributed Ledger technology.

DAML comes portable, which means DAML application can work across multiple platforms like Fabric, Corda, Sawtooth, Besu, Amazon Quantum Ledger Database, etc. DAML is working on features that let DAML applications connect and communicate with each other making it interoperable soon.
