Manifesto for a Science of Consciousness

OttavaOra Project is a research initiative dedicated to the study of consciousness as a multilayered field. The project unfolds within the corpus The Liminal Field, which describes consciousness as a stratified system based on resonance, interiority, and perceptual depth.

The Manifesto defines five foundational concepts:

1. Consciousness as an informational field

Consciousness is not produced by the mind. It is a neutral resonance field, always present, operating through frequencies and perceptual depth.

2. Mind as the recorder of the physical field

The mind records, processes, and remembers. It is active only in wakefulness and absent in sleep, where it cannot operate due to frequency constraints.

3. Sleep as an interface of interiority

Sleep is not absence but access. It is the field where the mind is silent and consciousness remains present, allowing inner content to emerge before being conceived.

4. The liminal field as operational architecture

The liminal field is the transition zone between wakefulness and sleep. It is a resonance environment where consciousness perceives and the mind can be trained to recognize what emerges from interiority.

5. Functional darkness as a contact surface

Darkness is not deprivation but depth. It is the surface through which interiority and the material world come into relation.

Principles of Consciousness Physics

Consciousness appears as a perceptual continuum.

The mind is intermittent.

Perception becomes conception.

Interiority is an informational field.

Resonance is the method of knowledge.

Instantaneousness is a frequency, not a phenomenon.

Evolution is an expansion of perceptual depth.

Clarification on the Nature of Consciousness

Within the OttavaOra Project, the expression “consciousness as an informational field” does not refer to information in the computational or data‑driven sense. Consciousness is not a container of data, nor a generator of informational content. It is a coextensive field of being — a neutral, resonant structure that exists simultaneously with existence itself. Consciousness operates through stratification, resonance, and states of being, not through the production or processing of information. It does not create reality but resonates with it, stabilizing different layers of experience according to the vibrational conditions of each field (wakefulness, sleep, liminal states). This distinction is essential to avoid misinterpretations that reduce consciousness to an informational substrate.

Purpose of the Manifesto

To establish the foundations for a science of interiority, in which:

• wakefulness and sleep are two fields of the same system
• consciousness operates through resonance
• the mind learns through the liminal
• functional darkness becomes a tool of vision
• interiority becomes explorable and describable

OttavaOra Project proposes a new paradigm: a consciousness physics based on resonance, depth, traversal, and instantaneousness.
