What are the Steps when applying for Chapter Lead for GDSC?

Well, as a Chapter Lead who has gone through the entire process, let me share them with you!

Let’s start

When you apply for the application on the website GDSC Leads | Google Developer Student Clubs | Google for Developers, you will be redirected to this website

And then you will proceed with the process.

By the way, students applying from 2024, can enter a referral code if they received from an existing lead based on their performance. And it will increase the chances of you getting selected.

Now that you proceed.

Here are a few things they will ask

1. Your details
2. Your University Details
3. A video of yourself answering a few questions. (This video should be uploaded on YouTube as “unlisted” so it's viewable through a link only)

Once you do that, you will be shown that your application is submitted.

Now…

There are a few things you should know:

1. The quicker you apply, the higher the chance you will hear responses quickly
2. After Applying you will receive an email

3. You will then receive an interview booking link after 4–5 days that will ask you to choose a date to be interviewed.

4. Then around the end of August (That’s the average time it takes to announce results for the MENA Region). An Email will look like this

5. You will then receive emails one by one regarding onboarding steps. Where you will also be added to Slack (a communication medium for leads and Program Managers) and then you will be given access to your Chapter’s Bevy platform. Start adding your mates and start growing!
