The Role of the Security Division of OSAKA MAN 1 Yogyakarta

Yogyakarta, Indonesia — The Security Division is one of the strategic units within the Organizational Structure of OSAKA at MAN 1 Yogyakarta for the 2026–2027 period. This division holds a major responsibility in maintaining order, discipline, and a supportive learning environment to ensure that Teaching and Learning Activities (KBM) run effectively.

One of the division’s main duties is conducting night supervision, particularly by coordinating students to gather and secure electronic devices such as laptops. This measure is taken as a preventive effort to help students get enough rest and be physically and mentally prepared for classes the following day. By reducing late-night laptop use, the division hopes to improve students’ focus and overall discipline.

However, the implementation of this system has not always gone smoothly. The Security Division often faces various challenges in the field, including differing opinions among students. Debates sometimes arise regarding the laptop collection policy. Some students view the rule as a restriction, while the division considers it a necessary step for the common good.

These ongoing dynamics present a unique challenge for the division. The wide range of responses requires members not only to be firm, but also wise, communicative, and persuasive in explaining the purpose of the policy. This experience highlights that maintaining order is not only about enforcing rules, but also about building collective awareness.

Despite these challenges, the OSAKA Security Division for 2026–2027 remains committed to carrying out its responsibilities to the best of its ability. Through continuous evaluation, strong coordination with other divisions, and a more humane approach toward students, the division aims to remain at the forefront of balancing discipline, comfort, and educational quality within OSAKA.
