NEXUS Signs MOU with DCS Pay to Bring CROSS Toward Everyday Global Payments

NEXUS has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) with DCS Pay — the global payments platform operated under DCS Group — to explore token-based payments and stablecoin settlement, connecting CROSS to a network of millions of merchants with a longer-term goal of putting the token to work at merchants worldwide.

Who DCS Pay is

DCS Pay is a global payments platform operated by DCS Fintech (Hong Kong) Limited under DCS Group, a Singapore-based financial group. Through DCS Card Centre Pte. Ltd., the group holds a license to issue credit and charge cards under the supervision of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), which makes it an established, regulated card issuer rather than a crypto-native newcomer. It operates a merchant network numbering in the millions, along with infrastructure that spans card issuance, payment acceptance, and settlement — the full stack of how a payment moves from a customer to a merchant and clears.

A two-way collaboration

Through the agreement, NEXUS (CEO Hyunkuk Jang) and DCS Pay intend to interconnect their payment infrastructures and widen where payments can actually take place. The collaboration runs in two complementary directions.

The first reaches outward, toward merchants. For much of their lifetime, tokens have tended to stay inside the on-chain world — useful within an ecosystem, but rarely something you reach for at a store counter. The plan is to support CROSS ($CROSS) and the ecosystem dollar CROSSD ($CROSSD) as payment options across DCS Pay’s global network of millions of merchants, so users around the world can put them to work on real goods and services — offline purchases included — rather than leaving them confined to on-chain activity.

The second reaches inward, into the CROSS platform itself. The two companies plan to expand integration of DCS Pay’s payment solution across the CROSS platform NEXUS has built, and to introduce multichain stablecoin settlement in support of CROSS Shop transactions — settlement designed to operate across multiple chains rather than being locked to a single environment.

Built on a real card issuer

What distinguishes this partnership is the kind of company on the other side of it. DCS Group already runs DeCard, a card that lets holders spend stablecoins such as USDT and USDC in everyday settings, and it operates white-label issuing infrastructure that lets other companies launch their own stablecoin cards under their own brand. In other words, the bridge between regulated card rails and on-chain value is not a roadmap item for DCS — it is something the company builds and runs today.

Building on that capability, NEXUS plans to explore connecting DCS Group’s infrastructure with the CROSS ecosystem to enable a Web3 payment card that runs on global card networks. The aim is for CROSS to become usable as a genuine means of payment at merchants worldwide — acceptance that reaches beyond a single direct network toward the reach of global card rails. Looking further out, the two also plan to discuss a single payment rail that connects crypto and fiat across multiple blockchains, so users across the CROSS ecosystem and beyond can pay conveniently wherever they are, online or offline, without having to think about which rail settled the purchase.
