Public service is highly valuable

Public service is a very valuable profession; public service uplifts people's lives and enables everyone everywhere around the world to reach their fullest potential. Public service makes you feel safe, secure, and peaceful. Moreover, public services are the foundation of the social welfare, security, health, and prosperity of the nations. Inclusive public services lead to the inclusive world and inclusive youth is inclusive future for humankind. Public service is the key to accelerating SDGs at all levels.

Transformative public services are about people, community, and society. Please include youth in decision-making. AI must be built for fighting in the climate war and fighting the poverty war, not for human war.

Digital Inclusion and Participatory Governance

Advance synergies across government, youth, civil society and private sector

Rebuilding trust, connecting people.

Sustaining actions need inclusive partnership from government, youth, civil society, the private sector, and all stakeholders. Bringing local action to global impact.

Scaling inclusively with synergy needs systems thinking, integrated systems, and effective policies.

Data-driven decision-making and Foresight

Government needs to adapt and be resilient in the time of polycrisis; this needs resilience and emergency responses to natural disasters. This needs more timely, accurate, secure, and disaggregated data for data-driven decision-making for policy implementation. Using AI and multi-models to find more possibilities and patterns in the big data to accelerate the delivery of public services.

Leveraging strategic foresight for governance to a future that leaves no one behind.

Transparent and accountable government builds trust with sharing robust data and sharing power.

Session 4: Youth as Digital Architects of Inclusive Governance: From Access to Decision-Making

During the COVID-19 pandemic, hospitals were full, infection rates rose, and there were many deaths around the world. The government, academia, and youth work together on the AI Mask project to raise public awareness of wearing masks. This is an example of where youth could be co-designers and data providers with the help of AI to collaborate and contribute to our community, our country, and our world.

Meaningful digital access for youth

4. Civic engagement.

Barriers for youth civic participation

Barriers for youth civic participation include the systemic, political, and institutional barriers and socioeconomic barriers like financial barriers, education gaps, and lack of role models. An unsafe environment, both in the physical and cyber worlds, hinders youth from effectively participating civically. Language barriers, cultural barriers, and lack of accessible participation for youth with disabilities, Indigenous youth, LGBTIQ+ youth, ethnic minorities, and rural youth become the barrier to meaningfully engaging youth. Lack of literacy, education, biased data, insufficient knowledge, widening political polarization, and lack of trust in government with the climate crisis, war, and economic wars are the barriers that prevent youth from moving from connectivity to civic participation.

Systemic, political, and institutional barriers are widening when youth lack political HOPE.

Youth are vibrant and energetic in civic engagement on agendas like climate action; youth's future jobs and education should be prioritized.

Systemic change with institutional support for youth to engage meaningfully in decision-making and expanding opportunities to engage, foster networks, and proactively design. Social equity and justice in our society and education for youth to analyze and make decisions. Data-driven decision-making helps policymakers to act fast, accurately, and inclusively.

Bridging the digital divide with education

Education is the key to changing the world, society, and our lives. We need to transform education so that everyone,

Education transforms lives, communities, and the world. Literacy should start from children, including civic literacy, AI literacy, STEM skills, cultural literacy, and environmental literacy. Digital transformation of education, digital literacy, and lifelong learning.

Youth connect with the government.

Life is not all about economic growth. Education for youth is not to make the most money but to uplift quality of life and live in harmony.
