The next day, I went to the library — like always — and guess who I saw? Mr. Red Flag Freak himself. He tried to open the door for me. I used the other door. Petty? Yes. Necessary? Absolutely.

He tried speaking to me. I shook my head NO and kept walking. From that day forward, I refused to acknowledge his existence. No eye contact. No conversation. Nothing.

I even started locking my study room door — mostly because of him. Every visit, he would still try to talk:

“You still mad at me?” Like I was playing some game with my time or emotions. I could see why he thought that — I gave him too many chances.
