We’ve all been there…

“Dahlia is a heartbreaking bitch,” he grumbled under his pillow to his friend sitting in the hotel chair. There was an empty champagne bottle on the side table of the bed. Half-naked, but for his boxer briefs, he rolled off the bed and looked in the mirror. He remembered the night before and what He walked in on.

Will was leaning back; his hands were holding the back of his head. With his pants open at the zipper, Dahlia sat astride, giving him a lap dance. Her breasts were mere inches from his lips.

“What did you expect, Jason? Dahlia isn’t tied down to anyone. Did she give you the impression she liked you?”

Jason turned around, scratching his leg at the hem of his short pants. “She did, actually.”

“What did she say?”

After a moment of silence, Jason took the bottle off the side table and took a long, slow gulp of the old and flat alcohol.

“Well, Marc.” He paused to belch. “The night before, she did the same thing and whispered that she loved me.”

Marc reached for the bottle and shared a drink. His face curdled at the base flavor. Marc scoffed before wiping some from his mouth, “She tells that to all the young dudes.”

“How the fuck do you know that?!” Jason yelped, raising both hands.

Marc stood up and approached his friend. Putting a hand on his shoulder, he replied, “I didn’t want to tell you this, but she gave me a lap dance the night before.”

“You fucker.” Jason’s face soured.

“Jason, who cares? You should be more worried about what Audrey says. She actually has feelings for you,” he added, handing the bottle back.

“But I don’t like her like that anymore.” Jason brought the bottle to his lips.

“Who is the heartbreaker now?” Marc asked.
