Planner Council

Writing and drawing have always been part of my life — without exception.

For someone like me whose inner voice never seems to quiet down, my planners are vital partners that walk alongside me through life.

And at every turning point, I hold what I call a Planner Council.

When a new year begins… When I stumble upon a beautiful planner I absolutely don’t need — and buy it anyway. When something big shifts in my life…

A Planner Council is where I decide how I’ll use that planner, and what role it will play.

Sometimes a life event takes center stage. Sometimes it’s a brand-new notebook that steals the show.

As for the members of this council?

Just me.

Or rather — two versions of me: the one on the inside, and the one on the outside.

Some planners act as a GPS for my life, gently steering my scattered, dreamy self back on course with a quiet “this way…”

Others exist simply to fill my heart.

Right now, I’m actively using four planners.

№1 — Hobonichi Weeks My scheduling hub. Appointments, to-dos, the rhythm of my days — it all lives here.

№2 — The “aha” Notebook + Project Notebook One section is for unfiltered brain-dumping — visions, wish lists, whatever floats to the surface. The other is where those raw thoughts get organized into real, actionable to-dos. When something from the second section feels ready — when I think “okay, let’s actually do this” — it moves into Planner №1.

These two hold hands. When their rhythm is right, life flows better too.

№3 — The Artist Notebook This one is for nourishing my creative soul. Beautiful designs I spot around town, color palettes from my pencils and pens, art supplies I own, art supplies I dream of owning.

№4 — The Mini 5 (pocket planner) My on-the-go companion. Shopping lists, schedules I might need while out, travel info when I’m exploring somewhere new.

And right now, with my return to Japan just around the corner, it’s also holding all my pre- and post-move to-dos.

Because yes — I’m standing at a major turning point.

A move across borders.

After more than ten years in France, I’m stepping into a new life in Japan.

My work, which has lived mostly online until now, is about to shift — away from screens, and toward something more local, more rooted, more present.

So today, I held a Planner Council.

To imagine the life ahead. And to decide how my planners will carry me there.

手帳会議

私の人生には、いつでも「書くこと」と「描くこと」があります。

手帳は、頭のお喋りがうるさい私には、人生を共に伴走してくれる、大事なパートナーなのです。

そして、人生の節目節目で「手帳会議」なるものを開催します。

新しい年を迎える時・・・

オシャレな手帳を見つけて、必要ないのに、ついうっかり買ったとき

人生に大きな変化が起こった時・・・

その手帳をどんな風に使っていくのか。

それを決めるのが「手帳会議」です。

人生のイベントが主役になることもあれば、新しく買った手帳が主役になることもあります。

「開催します」といっても、メンバーは私だけ。

しいていえば、内側の私と、外側の私の２人。

ある手帳は、人生のＧＰＳの役割を果たします。

お喋りで空想好きな私の、油断するとすぐに取っ散らかってしまう日常を、「こっちだよ～～～」と導いてくれます。

ある手帳は、ただただ私の心を満たしてくれるものになります。

今主に使っている手帳は４冊。

１冊目は、「ほぼ日weeks」で、日々の予定を詰め込んだり、スケジュール管理をする場所です。

２冊目は「aha ノート」と「project ノート」。

ここには、頭に浮かんだことを何でもとりあえず吐き出すセクションと、それをお行儀よく整列させて、現実のTo Do に落とし込むセクションがあります。

最初のセクションには、ビジョン・ボードや、ウィッシュリストも含まれます。

後半の、To Do に落とし込むセクションの中から、具体的に「やるぞ！」というタイミングが来たら、１冊目のスケジュール帳に移動します。

１冊目と２冊目は、手を繋いで伴走します。ここの循環がうまくいくと、人生もうまく回るのです。

３冊目は、アーティストノートで、心を満たすための手帳です。

ここには、街で見かけた素敵なデザインや、持っている色鉛筆やペンのカラーパレット、それから、買った画材や、これから買いたい画材のリストも、ここに並びます。

４冊目は外出用の手帳で、移動時に見やすいミニ５を使っています。

ここには、普段は買い物リストや、外出先で必要になるかもしれない予定、情報を詰め込みます。

旅行へ行くときは、旅行先の情報も追加されます。

そして今は、フランスから日本への本帰国を前に、帰国前と帰国後の手続き関連のTo Doなどをまとめたりしています。

そう、今、まさに、人生の節目を迎えているのです。

国を跨いだ大移動。

10年以上住んだフランスを離れ、日本で新しい生活を始めようとしているのです。

帰国後は、これまでオンライン中心だった私の活動が、電波から距離を置き、ローカル中心の活動に変わります。

そこで、今日、帰国後、手帳をどんな風に使っていくのかを決める手帳会議を開催しました。
