Story Title: “The Last Letter”
In the icy heights of Siachen Glacier, where temperatures dip to -50°C, Captain Vikram Sharma and his unit were deployed to guard one of the most dangerous military posts in the world.

Despite the harsh conditions, Captain Vikram remained determined and cheerful, always encouraging his men. During one night in 2020, intelligence reported a possible enemy intrusion near their post. Without hesitation, Vikram volunteered to lead the reconnaissance mission.
As the patrol team reached the ridge, a sudden avalanche hit. Vikram pushed his comrades to safety but got buried under heavy snow himself. Rescue teams worked tirelessly and managed to pull him out, but he was critically injured.
While being airlifted to the base hospital, he handed a blood-stained letter to his fellow officer. It read:
“If I don’t make it, tell my mother I died doing what I love. Tell my country I never bowed down. Jai Hind!”
Captain Vikram succumbed to his injuries before reaching the hospital.
Today, his letter is displayed at the Indian Army Museum in Pune, reminding everyone that real heroes don’t wear capes — they wear olive green please read more
