On the other hand, when we conducted the second export test again, I was very surprised that we could not export from the iPhone for some reason. We tried several times and still fail to get the iPhone to export properly. We also tested these three phones for gaming using the BGMI game and they were all able to achieve 120 FPS while gaming. The quality of the gameplay was excellent, but we had different levels of performance for the OnePlus 15 and the IQOO 15 because they both had frame interpolation, thus on the OnePlus 15, the fps could be increased to 165, while on the IQOO 15, it could be increased to 144. Additionally, if you play CODM on the OnePlus 15, you will be able to play it at the maximum of 165 fps.

Now the results in BGMI were pretty even, so we pushed the phone further with withering waves. On the iPhone 17 there were a few frame drops and at the end of the game play the temperature was around 39° whereas both IQOO 15 and OnePlus 15 in graphics you can switch from Open CL to Vulcan graphics but think what is this Vulcan like in very simple words in Open CL the phone has to talk to the GPU via the CPU but in Vulcan graphics the phone can directly talk to the GPU.

So, the game can run like jokes aside the game play was very smooth on both IQOO 15 and OnePlus 15 and after half an hour of gaming both of them were pretty cool IQOO 15 was around 36° whereas the OnePlus was around 34° because both these phones have 360° vapor cooling chamber. So overall in performance, both the OnePlus 15 and I 15 get one point, like I was really surprised with the performance of the OnePlus 15, whereas the iPhone 17 gets half a point on iPhone vs Android.

Battery Backup & Charging: iPhone vs Android

So now out of the three, the iPhone here has kind of half of the battery that Androids get. So, in our light-to-heavy usage, the iPhone 17 gives about 5 to 6 hours of screen on time, whereas the IQOO 15 gives about 6 plus hours of screen on time with 30 to 33% battery still left. The OnePlus 15 provides nearly 8 hours of usage with its battery optimized very well; therefore we can state that this is an excellent product for battery performance.

Regarding charging, the iPhone 17 has fast charge capabilities up to 40 Watts, while it only takes about an hour to fully recharge. The OnePlus 15, however, provides fast charge capability at 120 Watts and the IQOO has a fast charge capability of 100 Watts. Additionally, there is a 25 Watt charge capability for the iPhone 17; both phones support wireless charging, however, the Oneplus 15 also has reverse wireless charging capability.

So overall in terms of battery again the iPhone gets half a point for bumping up the speed of fast charging, but the battery is still okay when it comes to an iPhone, and the 15 and IOS 15 gets one full point. You get a really big battery, you get fast charging, and you also get wireless reverse wireless charging, so everything’s flagship. You can now start guessing which phone is best. All about photography & Camera quality:

So now the phones have charged up, we have charged up everybody’s ready because now comes the one category where people fight in comments, it’s the Android WhatsApp group, no one agrees. The iPhone comes with a dual camera setup, whereas the Android here comes with a triple camera setup. So we click some pictures side by side in daylight to get the answer which has best camera quality between iPhone vs Android.

Surprisingly, the OnePlus 15 consistently looks like the most natural colours are balanced, whereas the IQOO 15, for some reason, tries to make the photo bright to some extent, and the colours look flat. The iPhone 17 brightens the face and keeps the colour on the yellowish side. If you see this photo, the iPhone is doing something really well. It brightens only the areas where sunlight is hitting. The iPhone tries to overall brighten the photo, even the IOS does the same.

In fact, I even added a pinkish colour to the photo. And we also did the telephoto round, and a small disclaimer: the iPhone photos are taken using digital zoom since it doesn’t have a telephoto lens here. The OnePlus 15 clearly takes the best photos, which are sharper and closer to natural. The iPhone 17 comes next, slightly contrasty but still natural. The iPhone 15 once again has an upgraded telephoto camera, changes skin tone, and looks a bit pinkish, which feels unnatural.

And one thing consistently, Androids were better in terms of portrait edge detection. In this photo, see if you zoom in, the eyelashes are completely blurred out on the iPhone 17, whereas the OnePlus 15 and I 15 have got the edge detection right. The OnePlus 15 portrait also looks the best overall skin tones that are accurate and very close to real life if you compare all three phones.

Now, the IOS 15 changes the entire colour profile, the sky gets darker, the face looks whiter, and processing feels inconsistent. Now I know these are all software things that can be fixed with an update, but it’s been a month or so with this phone, so hopefully I can fix it, but it is currently what it is. Now, under indoor lighting the same story is similar.

Photos and Camera: iPhone vs Android

iPhone 17 offers the most natural-looking photos overall. With the iOS 15 over-processing images, I believe the iPhone 17 captures these images more accurately with the least amount of over-processing for HDR images as compared to its competitors. Most of the shot is in the ultra-wide format, and the photo has to have the front-to-back depth of field to capture what you see on an ultra-wide lens.

The iPhone 17 captures the widest shot and has the most depth of field, while the OnePlus captures the same amount of depth of field but with a slightly brighter photo. iPhone 17’s photo also looks nice, but more towards the cooler side. The photos from the iPhone 17 look rather neutral and have a lot of yellow in the skin tones. When compared to iOS 15 photos, which have HDR processing, it does not look very good by comparison of iPhone vs Android.

When using the iPhone 17 to take a picture with zoom, the most it’s capable of is a digital equivalent of 10 times zoom. Comparatively, both the IQOO and the OnePlus are capable of taking a photo at a maximum digital zoom of 100 times and 120 times, respectively. If you plan on using the iPhone 17 to take any photos with zoom, it will not be the camera for you.

And for the sake of having an example to compare against, from both IQOO and OnePlus, you will find that both are capable of redrawing a photo using AI, however, using OnePlus will produce marginally better results, and they will also apply varying degrees of coolness to a majority of photos. Ultimately, the images still end up looking very flat overall.

Video quality explained:

In videos, oneplus 15 and IQoo 15 can record in 8K, whereas the iPhone 17 can shoot max in 4K 60 fps, but come on, who’s shooting in 8K, you’ve got to save that gold and storage. Now the OnePlus 15 can also shoot in 4K 120 fps, that too in Dolby Vision, but to keep the comparison fair, we shot all the videos in 4K 60 fps on the three phones. Now the iPhone’s video definitely looked better, followed by the OnePlus overall in cameras.

I feel the OnePlus 15 came out to be a well-rounded phone. It gets one full point because you get the dedicated telephoto, you get good portrait edge detection, and even the long-range zoom and videos were balanced. And iPhone 17 gets half a point, still better than iPhone 16, but that doesn’t mean it’s better than everyone else, whereas zero points to the IOS 15 I think they really need to improve on the colour processing to win the race of iPhone vs Android.

We reach the end of the comparison where I believe the OnePlus 15 is the best choice. Although the OnePlus 15 is missing certain features or specifications compared to its predecessor, the increase in price from the OnePlus 13 to the OnePlus 15 was only $3,000, compared to an increase of $18,000 for the iPhone 13 to the iPhone 15. This difference made me reconsider my thoughts on which phone is best between both models between the fight of iPhone vs Android.

So, definitely on paper, the specs upgrade and features are good, but right now IOS 15 misses out on optimisation, and someone is paying a premium price of 73,000 rupees. This is proper flagship territory; they expect a smooth experience. Now coming to iPhone 17, the price hike was only 3,000, and for that hike it has improved quite a lot, but it has improved compared to the previous iPhones to compete neck with flagship Androids still has a lot of catching up to do.

There’s no telephoto lens; in fact, the battery is still miles behind clearly the OnePlus 15 or even the Vivo X300 has a better price-to-offering ratio is far better here.
