Urban Culture

It almost seems forbidden to express yourself in an urban style. However, I believe things are changing rapidly. Urban culture will become more acceptable in many places because urban culture is about “music, fashion, language, art, food, and the way people interact in dense, diverse environments.” I grew up in Lawrence Massachusetts where urban lifestyle such as Latin pop, rap, drill, the smell of Latin foods flood the streets. And I find it great because many Spanish artists have learned to express themselves through music instead of taking part in violence or instead of taking part in criminal activity. Some may shake their heads and say “it is inappropriate, it is degrading”, however it is not. The reason I think so is because in the wonderful music of Spanish or even English rap music, urban artists have influenced others to reach their full potential.
