About the UNDP DigitalX Catalogue

The UNDP DigitalX Catalogue is a platform for reusable and future-ready digital solutions, operated as part of the DigitalX 3.0 initiative. It brings together innovative digital solutions from around the world and matches them with the needs of governments and organizations across the 170+ countries where UNDP operates, supporting the global scaling of digital solutions. The initiative is made possible with the support of the Government of Japan, and currently features over 110 solutions in the Catalogue, deployed across 170+ countries and supporting approximately 390 million people.

DigitalX 3.0 places the empowerment of human security at its core. It aims to build interconnected ecosystems of Digital Public Goods that amplify human security and dignity across seven areas — economic, food, health, environmental, personal, community, and political security — countering digital divides and power imbalances globally.

Overview of the “Re:Earth Ecosystem”

The “Re:Earth Ecosystem” published on the DigitalX Catalogue is an integrated, open-source digital twin platform composed of three interoperable tools: Re:Earth CMS, Re:Earth Visualizer, and Re:Earth Flow.

Re:Earth covers the full geospatial data lifecycle — from data ingestion and automated processing to management, interactive 2D/3D visualization, publishing, and integration with external systems — all through no-code, browser-based interfaces. Distributed under open-source licenses, it removes barriers such as licensing costs and the need for specialized technical expertise, providing an environment where governments, NGOs, and local communities with limited technical resources can independently manage and utilize geospatial data.
