2022, what a year for me!
Next week is gonna be the last week in 2022. Sitting in my fave coffee shop corner and writing this to reflect. I’d say 2022 is such a great year overall, despite I’m not always feeling ok everyday, but I learned and enjoyed this year journey that much. 2022 is about self-discovery and self-acceptance.
1 Understand what I like and what I don’t like
2 Trial-error in every decision I’ve made
3 When to start when to stop
4 Work-from-anywhere set up is fun, the energy and time spent for commuting can be used for anything else
5 I don’t have the responsibility to make everybody likes me
6 I choose who should I call friends and just acquittances
7 Compliment and appreciate people genuinely
8 I have nothing to prove to society
9 Journaling is great to evaluate yourself and express emotions
10 Control what you can control, worry less for something that you cannot control
10 Understanding yourself is important before you let someone in to your life
11 When you’re in doubt just take a pause, then think
12 Don’t be afraid to try new things, yolo
13 Spend money more in experience instead of luxury stuffs
14 Be comfortable with yourself, alone or together with anybody else
15 Do workout and stay active, it’s a lifetime investment
16 Set up your own boundaries
17 Forgive your past to move forward
18 Value yourself, don’t let anyone else take you for granted
19 Making mistakes is ok, but you need to learn
20 Be emphatetic, don’t forget we’re human
21 Being judgemental is ok in a certain level, it hones your gut
22 Be clear on your expectations to others, they cannot read your minds
23 Small talk is needed when you have to, otherwise f** off, I don’t need to entertain everyone!
24 Any feelings you have is valid, don’t be denial or ignore it
25 When you feel low, look back how far you’ve gone and be proud of yourself. It helps!
26 Start lifting weights, not gonna make you muscular in one night
27 Eat well and have enough sleep
28 Enjoying the time alone is an art
29 Burn the bridges as needed
30 Love yourself a bunch, you should, no it’s a must
31 You should be taking care of your own well-being, cz no one does it for you
I feel grateful for anything that I’ve accomplished so far. The journey hasn’t been easy, y’all my close friends knew this. It’s been a long process, yet the process of discovering myself is a lifetime experience. I may think now that ‘this is what I want’ but not in the future. I’m rooting for 2023, cheers for many many great years ahead!
