The Story of the Twins

Ruby and Rudy were born on the same day. They lived all their lives with great aspirations, and evolved day by day; wondering where their real purpose lay. But they had fundamental differences.

Ruby was having 100:1 ratio of what she thought vs what she spoke. She was human of course, with all the limitations that come with human beings; she also wanted to speak out, seek help, vent out; but she thought she was beyond other people. She did indeed solve (or atleast try) her mental battles all by herself for years and didn’t need anyone at all. She was adept at putting a calm face, patient outlook and making friends all the way as much as possible. She probably didn’t like everything her so-called-friends did, but of course, she didn’t show it out; as if she doesn’t need anyone truly. She believed, she can fix herself alone and be kind to everyone around her; no matter how depressed, angry or tired she was of the world.

Rudy was also waiting for that bird’s eye view of life. But she was so rude to people. Especially to those kind to her. She never intended to, and often sat alone regretting the words. But, her way of venting out, was blurting out unfiltered sentences. Often hurting the person on the otherside, often seeming like ‘the-arrogant-one’ full of self, often very judgemental/stereotypical and sometimes even accidently revealed secrets. When she contemplates, she realised that she wasn’t that person at all. But she wasn’t able to keep herself contained. And the closer she was to that person, the worse her words were; as if it was a kind of love language. She wished to be like Ruby atleast to her closer friends and family. She didn’t want to hurt anyone but could not help it at times making her feel miserable.
