How strange it is sometimes we are troubled by poverty, and sometimes by the busyness of wealth. We don’t even know what we truly want. When we get free time, even that begins to trouble us.

It becomes hard to understand what we really seek in life. And when this question arises, it marks the beginning of a strange and unfamiliar life a life whose reality seems simple, yet is equally complicated.

David is a rich and successful businessman, but everyone is something else from within perhaps what they truly wish to become. The man who laughs and speaks confidently in front of others, feels deeply empty inside. Nothing is able to fill that void. He works, and whatever time he gets afterward, he spends alone. But that loneliness only makes his emptiness deeper. Troubled by this inner void, one night he sells everything. He gathers all his money and sets out on a journey a journey where he can live each day on his own terms.

David begins his journey from a village. There, he arranges a small house to stay in. Then he wonders what can he do now? That’s when he remembers his hobby of writing. He decides that he will write stories. But whenever he sits down to write, his mind goes completely blank. There is nothing to say… nothing to write.

One day, he sits with some villagers. There, he hears some interesting things about the village. Outside the village, there was a mansion now turned into ruins. The villagers say that once a “dead man” lived there. He died of hunger… and now, whoever goes there gets devoured by him. David listens and quietly laughs to himself. And that is the moment he thinks of writing something for the very first time about “Bungalow No. 13"
