One of Many Thousands

“My story is one of many thousands, and the world will not suffer if it ends too soon.” — Ezio Auditore.

A quote I heard back in 2011 from Ezio Auditore, the protagonist of the early Assassin’s Creed games — which I LOVE, by the way — but that’s an entirely different story for another time. Since I love drama, what better way to present yourself to the world than with a bit of it to make things even more captivating? Right? Or maybe not? We’ll see…

So enough of me blubbering and being a tad dramatic for no reason. Time to introduce myself to you. My name is Nektarios Divaris, and this is the beginning of a wonderful journey through life — and my attempt to write it all down (or up?) through my page. And who knows what wonders we will accomplish in the future.

I’ve had many brainstorming moments about my first article since my high school years, and I can say that I’m more than excited about this opportunity. At first, I wanted to write about my latest trip to Italy in November 2025. Then about gaming. Then about motorcycles. Then about a funny article where I try to motivate you to turn your Google Lens into a Pokédex — like in the Pokémon series — but for far more things than just animals and insects.

I had so many ideas — and many more to follow in the near future — but hold on tight. I always had good manners, so this feels like the right opportunity to introduce myself to you in a warmer and more humorous way than the short bio on my profile page.

My name comes from the Orthodox Christian name of St. Nektarios, best known for his life and monastery on the beautiful island of Aegina. My family was always religious — in the good way, of course — and that is one of the things I believe shaped me into someone kind, someone able to acknowledge mistakes and make better choices in life. Because, in my humble belief, that’s what religion should always point to: to love, to show kindness, to share, to create, to evolve, to accept.

Also, this is a good time to let you know that I have a second name: Konstantinos. So in full, I am Konstantinos Nektarios Divaris. (Feeling like an old Roman emperor with a name like that.)

From the beginning of my life, I was treated with love and tenderness. I believe that defines me. And as you can see, I carry something rare these days — and perhaps rare since the beginning of civilized life on Earth: a pure heart. Not perfect. But pure in intention.

This defines the way I write to you, to the world — and the way I act in life. Whether the moments are glorious or tragic.

I am twenty-eight years old now, and I’ve decided to leave a unique mark on this world — and in people’s hearts. To make things better. To motivate. To make someone laugh. To make you happy, sad, angry, or relaxed. To inspire. To make a difference. To create something new.

What is the way? The way to make all this come true?

Through the things I loved since I was a little boy — the things my family nurtured in me through our earliest moments together.

When we “zoom in” on everyday events, life can feel like a small tragedy — even more so when we talk about disastrous actions. But even tragic events can be transformed into a pretty good comedy with a slight tweak in perspective, especially when you “zoom out” and keep your distance from them.

With all this in mind, I can say that I am still that boy you see in old pictures — and the one you can “see” with your soul through these words. That boy has grown into a man who loves exploring the world — its places, its people. Learning new cultures, new languages, new music through words and sounds that carry fresh meanings for life’s everyday hustles and mysteries.

“F” is the letter I once tried so hard to find. F for failure — which is good, because it makes us better. But also F for friend. A word I cherish deeply. Friendship has always been important to me, and I will surely share stories in the near future from adventures with friends — stories for friends to read and enjoy.

That concludes just about everything I consider important — for now. Maybe you expected more: things I enjoy, things I’ve accomplished, the classic “been there, done that.” Well, hold fast. Hold tight to your seats. All that — and much more — is coming soon.
