You know the feeling when you have watched a movie and made your perspective on life change differently. The film features good endings that were written by an inspired artist. That is what we want—a good ending. A life that there could be drawbacks to but still ended up beautifully. But is our life written just like a movie? I would say that we are just the ones who are making our own stories and timeline. There are also circumstances that are far from how we wanted to end—things that are not in our control. So, everything could be different from what we planned and imagined. Hindi natin malalaman ang susunod na mangyayari kung wala pa tayo sa mga oras na yun. Sometimes they asked, "Where do you see yourself five to ten years from now?" As a kid I can confidently say, I will have my own business, I’m living the life that I have been wanting, and I am working in the field that I am very passionate about—kasi yun yung buong akala ko kapag adult na ko. But now, how could I even possibly know the answer? Hindi ko alam. Hindi ko alam kung ano na ba narating ko, kung ganon pa rin ba kataas yung pangarap ko, at kung unti-unti ko na bang nararating yung mga bagay na hindi ko alam na kaya ko pala. I wouldn’t know because I’m still not in that position.

Sometimes the most significant changes in our lives are not part of what we planned.

There would be a lot of changes, things we used to love, how we wanted to live, or even the version of success we thought we were chasing.

Maybe it’s all about growth—and it’s totally okay. Something from what we used to do or chase could eventually change, as who we are now can’t predict who we will be in the next five years or who we will be in our 20s or 30s. But one thing I hope is that five to ten years from now is even better. As for now, I’d say that I will live my life as it is now because I want to figure out more who I will be while I get there. Kasi hindi ko na mababalikan yung ganitong phase ng buhay na unti-unti pa lang kinikilala ang sarili. And for now, I would enjoy at gagawin ko muna lahat ng bagay that would lead me to that good ending.
