A vintage knock from David Miller and an outstanding all-round display by George Linde powered the Proteas to an 11-run victory over Pakistan in the first of three T20Is at Kingsmead. Miller delivered a masterclass with the bat, smashing 82 off just 40 balls to help the Proteas reach 183–9. In response, Pakistan fell short, managing 172–8.
