The sailor of my boat;

‘I’ll see you in a year’, those were the words my mom said to me before leaving for London for a work trip, as a kid in Grade 1 that hit hard, I remember the sleepless nights I spent just to call her before she falls asleep, but that’s how my parents have been , they’re hard working people who have dedicated most of their time for work. I always knew ‘how to tie my own laces’, maybe it was inbuilt, travelling alone, sleeping alone and what not.

as I grew older, I started to feel comfortable with it, getting up by myself, making coffee writing a journal, I started romanticizing the feeling of being on your own. And trust me, it teaches you so much more that you think it does, most people think being independent teaches you just chores and life skills but honestly it teaches you Lessons that don’t come naturally to most -

one of my friends, told me how she was upset on losing a friend and just wanted her back anyhow, and that seemed just absurd to me, even though I felt the pain she had going on but I just couldn’t resist to tell her to let go, because sometimes you’ve got to realize of who stays and who goes, Afterall you are sailing the ship of your life not them. Imagine it like this —

Every mile of the ocean is a new day; you don’t see the same fish everyday’, and the sailor is you my friend, sail through every chapter with a strong heart and a bold mind :)
