DID YOUR PHONE GET STOLEN? HERE’S STEPS TO TAKE AFTER THE DEED HAS BEEN DONE

Almost everyone in Nigeria has a tale to tell about lost phones. Especially if you’re a JJC(newbie) in Lagos. Either it is snatched from you while you are using it or the old style of ‘Madam, use your seatbelt LASTMA dey front’, and they steal it from you; it all leads to the same story- your phone has been stolen.
It is usually very shocking at first. You would wonder what just happened. Then the agitation when you realize they’ve potentially taken not only your phone but your life-savings, your job, your precious memories, and so on. Don’t fret. I have the perfect guide on the next steps to take:
First things first, tell whoever is near you that the only thing paining you is the SIM. The phone didn’t mean that much to you anyway. You were going to upgrade it soon enough. It might hurt you deep down but you need to maintain steeze by not giving a damn.
Secondly, others will call their banks to block their accounts so the thieves won’t have access but I believe you and I are beyond all that. Show the thieves you have nothing to lose and leave it open. It’s probably just the #1k left to buy bread and groundnut that’s there. Let them have something to eat for dinner as well. No be only you sabi chop. Even if there’s a lot of money there, let it go. This guide is all about maintaining steeze.
Thirdly, others would call their telecoms company to block their number. This is usually because they will use your number to scam your loved ones, but let it go. This is how your loved ones prove they are actually loved ones. The thieves might enjoy the money, but you’ll relish in the knowledge that your loved ones actually love you.
Lastly, steal someone else’s phone. Yorubas say ‘were la fi n wo were’ which means madness is cured using madness(I think). The thieves did you a favor by showing you a tactic they use in stealing phones. They’ve passed onto you elite know-how and I believe you should not let them down by letting other people slide. They’d probably catch you the first few times because you’re not a professional, but practice makes perfect and soon enough, you’d have a phone even better than the one you lost.
I hope you’ve gotten a few points from this. You don’t have to thank me. Just helping out a friend. ☺️
