What I bought today.

At noon, I went to the market searching for the components. The first few shops i went into, they didn’t have a single components but all of them refferred to one shop(forgot the name). Then I found that shop, asked all of the components. They also didn’t have all of them. So, I bought Arduino Uno, Breadboard, Resistor pack, LEDs, Buzzer and pack of Jumper Wires(Male to Male and Male to Females).

The Arduino alone cost me NPR.1500. More than I expected. But holding it felt different — this tiny blue board is supposedly the brain of something that could one day warn people before an earthquake hits. Felt worth it.

What I learned today.

Learned how the basic components work. How I could upload and use code into arduino. And I prepared a basic LED and Buzzer beeping system with 500 ms of delay. Initially, the system wasn’t working properly. I reassembled the system but still only the buzzer was beeping while the LED wasn’t blinking as it was supposed to. So, I rewrote the code and relocated the jumper wire cause it was not connected to the Gnd. Then I relocated the jumper wire to the correct GND pin. The LED blinked. First time. Something about watching that tiny red light flash on and off felt big, bigger than it should have.

Stage 1 complete.

MPU6050 sensor arrives next. That’s when the real work begins; teaching this system to feel the earth move. One component at a time.
