The Significance of This Screen
The interaction on the UPI PIN screen is extremely important. The current interaction on the screen includes the following:
• Authorisation of the transfer
• Verification of the details with the payee
• Coming to a conclusion and making a decision on the basis of trust
On the current screen, even the slightest changes are crucial because they directly affect the level of confidence.

What Was Missing in the Previous Version
Although the interface was functional, there were certain drawbacks.
• Strong Banking Interface
• There is minimal context with respect to the transaction.
• There are no proactive warnings with respect to fraud.
• Verification using the Tick symbol
While it did not actively reassure users, it did do the job.

There is limited information regarding the transaction, leading to a lack of confidence for the User when proceeding
What the Update Improved
- Improved Clarity of Transactions
The updated screen now clearly conveys to the user that:
• Recipient name
• Bank account details
• Formatting of structured amounts
The user’s mental checklist is now supported with: Amount → Person → Action
2.Proactive Awareness of Fraud
The small detail: “Never receive money by entering your UPI PIN.” Reactive security now becomes preventive security with this line. Microcopy is now a way to build trust.
3. A more clarified call to action
Clarity is enhanced with the replacement of the checkmark icon with a “Pay” button. Explicity in action equates to security in UX.
4.A Gentler Visual Language
Visual intimidation is reduced through the use of rounded button styles, a lighter layout, and more refined spacing.
The user interface is now more
• Modern
• Approachable
• Fintech-focused
rather than merely institutional.
What This Update Indicates
This change is symptomatic of a broader trend: From the Banking Utility Interface to the Payment Experience Focused on Trust No Longer the Goal of a Transaction It’s not just about completing a transaction. It’s about ensuring the user feels comfortable doing so.
