The Matmo Network Protocol and Matmo’s Emergence as a Global Payments Solution
Each step is a strategic move that brings us closer to achieving our vision — providing infrastructure for global Web3 applications and attracting the next billion users.
As summer transitions to fall, we are proud to announce a series of developments and new milestones — multiple upgrades to refine our protocol, be gamefi-ready, and support issuing NFTs and rewards on the mainchain. In the recent months at Matmo, we will continue to build strategic partnerships with market makers, advertisers, etc., grow our community, and expand our ecosystem.
Existing cross-chain interoperability solutions There are currently several solutions on the market that provide cross-chain interoperability to some extent. However, these solutions are quite limited in scope and can be divided into three categories: cross-chain bridges, sidechains and L2 networks, and oracles.
Cross-chain bridges have been built to allow users to transfer assets between different blockchains. The working principle is to lock an asset on one chain and then use smart contracts to issue an equivalent asset on another chain.
Sidechains and L2 networks consist of autonomous blockchains and protocols built on top of existing L1 networks. These have emerged primarily to address the many difficulties L1 networks face when processing large volumes of transactions. Ethereum has the most L2 solutions, primarily because the network has well-known issues handling high traffic loads.
Oracles provide blockchains with external information from other blockchains and independent sources that would otherwise be inaccessible to the network. Chainlink is perhaps the best example of an oracle system that introduces inputs into a network, thereby introducing information that triggers actions on a network based on external circumstances.
All of these solutions have certain advantages and offer valuable opportunities to users, but connecting two separate networks is not an easy task, especially when the networks involved are highly complex. To simplify this process, the networks involved should be able to communicate with each other. God highlights our belief in the disruptive power of blockchain technology in shaping the future.
The Network Protocol represents a major advancement in blockchain interoperability, providing a way for TVM-based networks to communicate and operate together seamlessly.
