Just landed at Silicon Valley | RSSEP 2018

Hello there!

TBH, this is my second day today but in this blog post, I will talk about my first day at Silicon Valley. First of all, I just cannot still believe that I am in Silicon Valley right now! Yes, in THE SILICON VALLEY!!

It’s my first time abroad. It’s the first Startup pitch competition I have participated in. It’s the first time I have got a recognition by Rajasthan Govt, that too a phenomenal one. It’s the first time I have travelled in an international flight, the first time I have seen Delhi International Airport, and of course San Francisco airport. It’s the first time I have come so far with friends. In fact, this is the first time I am writing a blog post! All of these first times are sending chills down my spine since the day we’ve landed here.

However, now I’ll put my first day into words (although it’s really hard to!). So, we landed here somewhat around 10 AM. The Chinese people around me, whom I had got into deep conversations (about life, love, culture, cinema, AI, Blockchain) with, during the 10-hour journey from Shanghai to SFO, greeted me with a very sweet goodbye and luck for future. I shall get onto the conversations and my experience talking to them in some later blog post (because there’s too much to talk about in this post :P). After landing, we found our tour manager Mandar with a placard, guiding us where to collect the bagaage from, where to enter into and all. After collecting baggage, almost all of us had video calls to our families. I guess family members were at least 100 times more excited than we ourselves were.

Now, we were in San Francisco city! In the bus, travelling to San Jose (pronounced as Ho-zay, this is what the Chinese guys told me). San Franciso is indeed a beautiful city, AS ANTICIPATED. As I got down of the bus, I was flabbergasted! The hotel- Double Tree by Hilton is colossal. Finally making our way to the rooms, appreciating the beauty of the rooms for an hour or so, we spent our ‘Day 0’ resting most of the time.
