Productivity Has Become a Modern Religion.
I come that productivity has become our new regligion, our new mojo or even though our way of life.
I mean don’t get me wrong, I am the first one realised that I need everyday to be productive anyways, why it is that?
Honestly, I can’t give you a real answer nor the real fact of why? and what?
But here it is my experence about this, I have been always an easy going girl, always ready for anything, and that becomes very productive for me, from a chill day where things were happening slowly to the big and rushing days where everything was going on fast pace, and I wasn’t being bother by that.
Since I move to Ireland, I have felt that If I don’t do something it doesn’t feel like a productive day, I need everyday to be somehow productive and that became my new religion.
Honestly, there were moments where I asked myself, what would happen, if I take a day being less productive than others, and let me tell you at first was hard to actually have one day less productive than the rest. I wasn’t happy, or maybe I began to feel that things weren’t going as I want and if I don’t do everyday be equally productive, my life was suppose to be a total fiasco.
What did I learn?
I overburn, and to be honest, it land me in a wound that maybe I still healing. Hitting the wall and realised that I was over making the thing was a hard pill to swallow, and what’s more I felt like hard to connect with people, now I feel like healing this part, taking productivity in a level where there’s no guilt it is wasn’t productive as the other day, it is that process where I am starting to accept that sometimes, productivity it is like the weather.
There would be days very productives and things will run smoothly, or maybe chaoticly, and maybe other days might not be as productive as other, and that’s also ok, it still productive maybe not smoothly as other times, and that’s how in this life I believe it works.
We need to live day by day, because thinking always in the future sometimes it is too stressful, yet it is what people always tell us to do, think about the future, but what about today and tomorrow, what about that moment, and allow us ourselves to be more present in our life, that it is also part of our productivity, because be present it allow us to move also forward, even if for some that sounds a total nonsense, but that’s what I think it is the natural order to move and what we should be thinking more about rather than get on our clouds about the future sometimes.
Because one of the things that I learn it is you build your own thing, or your future beter, when you are present on the present, might right now make that many sense in some aspects for me but maybe one day will do hopefully.
Thanks for reading me and If you are enjoying this please take a sit with me while we drink some coffee and I will see you soon.
