Visual decorations of texts meant to be reproduced in print and other media, such as posters, magazines, and animations Example: American artist, Norman Rockwell created more than three hundred cover illustrations for The Saturday Evening Post over five decades. One, The Tattoo Artist from 1944, shows a U.S. Navy sailor getting his last sweetheart’s name crossed out and another added. Sailor Jerry-style American traditional tattoo flash occupy the background.
