Is “one of Them Days” even worth the watch?

I just watched One of Them Days, and honestly, it surprised me in a good way. It’s one of those films where everything that could go wrong does go wrong, but somehow you’re still laughing and rooting for the characters.

Keke Palmer, as always, carried the film with her energy and presence. But SZA? Hmm. I didn’t really vibe with her character. She was too unbothered about everything like girl, your whole life is falling apart and you’re just chilling? Not to mention, she was the one who messed things up in the first place! So yeah, it was frustrating watching her act like it wasn’t that deep when it really was.

That said, the movie still worked. I liked how even though their lives were clearly falling apart, the story didn’t drown in sadness. The brightness of the film both visually and emotionally made it feel light even in the heavy moments. There’s a chaotic kind of hope in it. Like, yeah, life is a mess, but we move.

Overall, I really enjoyed the film. It wasn’t perfect, but it was real in its own way , funny, wild, and unexpectedly touching. If you’re into comedy with a bit of heart (and a lot of running around), it’s worth a watch.

Overall, I’d rate “One of Them Days” a solid 9.5/10. The film had flaws, but its unique tone, visuals, and storytelling made it memorable.
