Mather Point Overlook, Grand Canyon

Situated fifteen minutes away by foot from the Grand Canyon Visitor Center in the South Rim, Mather Point offers some of the best views of the Grand Canyon South Rim. As it is relatively easy to find the Visitor Center, finding Mather Point is not a difficult task. We reached the Visitor Center an hour before the sunset. After reaching Mather Point, I felt it was the perfect spot for sunrise and not an evening, especially if you wanted sun or sun rays in the frame.

Being close to the Visitor Center, Mather Point is overcrowded. We walked to the Mather Point overlook by crossing the Visitor Center and joining the Rim Trail. There were a few spots on the Rim Trail where I could absorb the breathtaking views of nature on my camera.
