COVID-19 background in Nepal
In the rise of the second wave of COVID-19, Nepal seems to lack preparation and resource management, despite hearing of news of our neighbour, India, whose health system has collapsed with overwhelming cases of COVID-19. Nepal’s unconcerned attitude and political instability have paved the way for a second wave of COVID-19 in the country, as the anticipated renewed virus outbreak has not been met with timely interventions and limited safety protocols in practice.
While government interventions and actions have been seen as limited and uncared for, many social actors have come forward to tackle the epidemic in the country.
