Rebuilding the NiftyKicks Economy — A New Chapter for $NKFE

Over the past several months we’ve taken a hard look at the NiftyKicks Factory ecosystem and the role of $NKFE within it. Like many early Web3 games, the original economy was built during a time when passive reward models were common. While that approach helped bootstrap early adoption, it eventually created too much token inflation and made long-term sustainability difficult.

Rather than ignoring the problem, we chose to confront it directly. What follows is a summary of the major steps we’ve taken to rebuild the economy from the ground up and position NiftyKicks for long-term stability and growth.

A Major Supply Correction

The first step was addressing the overall supply of $NKFE.

We completed a large supply correction by burning 14.739 billion NKFE from the ecosystem. This burn included:

  • 4.904 billion NKFE burned from the game wallet
  • 9.835 billion NKFE burned from the reserve

After these burns the new token structure is:

  • Total Supply: 296,428,073.492 NKFE
  • Circulating Supply: 285,405,073.6078 NKFE
  • Reserve Supply: 11,022,999.884 NKFE (Unminted)do yo have

This dramatic reduction significantly tightened the token supply and created a much healthier foundation for the ecosystem moving forward.

The goal was simple: remove excessive supply and give the token room to grow alongside real gameplay demand.

Ending Passive Rewards

The second major change was eliminating passive NKFE generation.

Previously, assets such as Kicks and Museums could produce tokens without players actively participating in the game. While this model was common in early Web3 gaming, it ultimately creates constant sell pressure and discourages actual gameplay.

Under the new system:

  • Kicks and Museums no longer produce NKFE passively.
  • Players must actively run convoy missions to qualify for rewards.

Instead of generating tokens on their own, NFTs now serve a different role.

They increase a player’s reward power when they participate in the game.

This means players who actively play benefit the most, while inactive wallets no longer inflate the token supply.

Introducing the Active Gameplay Reward System

To replace passive rewards we implemented a new points-based reward system.

Each week, players earn points based on two main factors:

  1. Their NFT inventory (Kicks, Promos, Collabs, Museums)
  2. The number of successful convoy missions they complete

NFT Points

Each Kick contributes base points depending on rarity.

Additional assets also contribute points, like collabs ad promos.

These points are then multiplied by the player’s Museum multiplier, which slightly increases scoring power depending on the Museums they own.

Convoy Activity

Gameplay activity is measured through convoy missions.

The final score for the week is calculated as:

NFT Points × Convoy Points

This approach ensures that:

  • NFTs matter
  • gameplay matters even more

Players who actively run convoys will earn a larger share of the weekly rewards.

A Dynamic Weekly Reward Pool

Instead of minting new tokens arbitrarily, the weekly reward pool is now tied directly to the amount of NKFE being spent in the game.

Each week we calculate how much NKFE players spent on:

  • convoy preparation
  • crates and support packs
  • upgrades
  • crafting
  • other in-game sinks

The reward pool is then calculated as:

80% of the total NKFE spent during the week.

This means the economy is now self-balancing.

If players are more active and spend more NKFE, the reward pool grows. If activity slows down, the pool naturally shrinks.

In addition, the system includes a small Active Wallet Bonus, which increases the reward pool slightly as more players participate in the game.

The result is an economy that scales with player activity rather than relying on uncontrolled token emissions.

Strengthening the In-Game Economy

Alongside these changes we also rebalanced several parts of the game to better align with the new economic model.

Key updates included:

  • lowering convoy preparation costs
  • rebalancing infrastructure upgrades
  • reducing Tech Center upgrade costs so progression remains achievable
  • adjusting certain multipliers to keep rewards sustainable

The objective was to make the game fun and playable while still protecting the value of the token.

Continued Buybacks and Ecosystem Support

In addition to these structural changes, we are also supporting the ecosystem through ongoing buybacks and marketplace activity.

Recently I personally:

  • Monday April 20, purchased 2,000,000 NKFE from the market.
  • Spent 2,000 WAX doing so using interest earned from WAX holdings.
  • Purchased 1,000 WAX worth of NFTs from the secondary market

These actions help support both the token market and the NFT economy, ensuring liquidity continues circulating throughout the ecosystem.

Moving forward, I plan to continue purchasing NKFE weekly using the WAX interest generated by the stake WAX.

This approach allows us to support the ecosystem without introducing additional inflation or extracting funds from the game economy itself.

The Road Ahead

These changes represent a major shift in how NiftyKicks operates.

The new model focuses on three key principles:

  • Active gameplay rewards
  • Sustainable token emissions
  • Long-term ecosystem health

We believe this structure creates a far stronger foundation not only for NiftyKicks Factory, but also for future projects and integrations within the GetRight Games ecosystem.

The journey is far from over. We will continue refining gameplay, expanding systems, and introducing new features that deepen the strategy and competition within the game.

To everyone who has continued supporting the project, running convoys, collecting NFTs, and providing feedback — thank you.

The best chapters for NiftyKicks are still ahead.
