Other Screens is a one-day, in-person screening and discussion forum bringing together postgraduate artists and researchers working across experimental moving image, archival practice, installation, and visual anthropology.
The event considers how moving-image work operates across a range of contexts — cinema, gallery, research, installation, and public projection — and how these settings shape what images can do and how they are encountered. Across the programme, the works engage questions of history, identity, embodiment, and political life, often through fragmentary, non-linear, or process-based approaches.
Several contributions treat projection, archive, and exhibition as methods in themselves, using repetition, interruption, and juxtaposition to explore relationships between past and present, here and elsewhere, self and other.
The programme moves between cinema screenings and looped installations, creating space for different modes of attention and exchange.

Lennie Varvarides is giddy about all things neurodivergence. They are a fully funded LAHP PhD candidate at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, where they are investigating the ‘Neurodivergent Aesthetic’ and have a special interest in writing for performance. They are the Founder of DYSPLA CIC, a digital arts organisation specializing in short form political poetics, as well as the director of MSFT Management Ltd, a London based talent agency, were they take a leadership role developing neurodivergent creatives. In 2018 they produced the DYSPLA International Moving Image Festival, funded by ACE and have been obsessed by neurodivergence as a form of materiality ever since.
