Comparing the Potential of ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Gemini

How using multiple AI tools can enhance productivity, streamline workflows and improve decision-making.

As I dive deeper into the world of AI, one thing becomes clear: the landscape is vast, dynamic and still in its infancy. With major AI platforms evolving almost monthly with new features, improved reasoning and better integration — it’s worth continuously exploring how these tools complement one another. While it’s tempting to settle on only using a favorite tool, I’ve found that each AI platform brings something unique to the table, and exploring them each on an ongoing basis can definitely be worth the time.

ChatGPT is my go-to platform, helping me navigate everything from content creation to brainstorming sessions. But recently, I’ve been experimenting with Perplexity, Claude and Gemini — to see which features stand out for each.

The Perils of Using One Platform Exclusively

One of the challenges I’ve faced with ChatGPT is its memory limitations. I suspect this kind of multi-platform approach will become normal as people look for ways to balance depth (ChatGPT) with speed (Perplexity) and other specialized strengths.

As I continue to explore these platforms, one thing is clear: none are perfect yet, but the field of AI is evolving rapidly. ChatGPT remains my go-to for deeper, ongoing interactions, but Perplexity, Claude and Gemini each offer valuable functions that complement my overall AI experience. Using these platforms in tandem — depending on the task at hand — helps me stay organized, optimize my workflow, and avoid overloading any one tool.
