GOD’S WORD. IT SPEAKS OF HIS ETERNAL LOVE

God Is Love

“Lo! the heavens are breaking, Pure and bright above; Light and life awaking, Murmur, “God is love.”

Wake, my heart, and springing, Spread thy wings above; Soaring s**till, and singing,- Singing, “God is love.” **(Poet Unknown)

Through this article, dear reader. You discover the love that God shines into your heart. The Creator God, Elohim who made all there is and all there ever shall be. Spoke of His love in a book. But not just an ordinary book. His Holy Word is a living and active book of love. Each word, verse, chapter and holy book speaks of love. For this book was written by God Himself. God is love.

Scripture Readings:

“The instruction of the Lord is perfect, renewing one’s life; the testimony of the Lord is trustworthy, making the inexperienced wise.” (Psalm 19:7, ESV)

“Your Word is a lamp to guide my feet and a Light for my path.” (Psalm 119:5, ESV)

The Holy Word of God. It was written by many men, over hundreds of years. Inspired by the mind and heart of God Himself, the Holy Spirit. Written by the Finger of God, dipped in the ink of His perfect love. The Holy Scriptures speak of God’s eternal love.

Reflection. Love, it is a gift from Almighty God.

The Holy Word of God speaks of God’s Sacrificial love. God’s Word teaches that **God is LOVE! *“Love is from God,… because God is love.*” (1 John 4:7, ESV) Almighty God’s love is boundless, perfect and eternal. God does not only give of His limitless and perfect love. God your Father is the source of all love.

Let us backtrack a moment, shall we? Your Creator God is the creator of all that there is. “For by Him all things were created, in Heaven and on earth, visible and invisible,” (Colossians 1:16, ESV) Part, and such a remarkable and miraculous part of His invisible creations is LOVE! Love is a gift from Almighty God. Love is a miraculous blessing from the Creator God, Elohim.

Love, was with God from eternity past. Love will be with God till eternity future. Before the Creator God, Elohim created anything. When it was only God in three Persons there was love. God lived in perfect harmony, in love. Before creation. God did not create love. God is love.

Now, when you consider all the awesome implications of this precious gift — LOVE! You need to learn more and more about this life changing and priceless blessing from Almighty God. Yes, a gift it is. A free boundless and perfect gift from your Heavenly Father.

The Holy Word of God speaks of God’s gift, love. The Holy Scriptures abound with teachings, blessings, miracles and wonders of this benevolence — LOVE! Psalms, hymns, prayers and parables spoken by Jesus Himself tell of the glory and grace of God’s love.

Almighty God, His Father, after Jesus’ baptism, speaks words of love.** **“And behold, a voice from Heaven said, “This is My beloved Son, with Whom I am well pleased.” (Matthew 3:17, ESV) There is no purer. No more perfect love than this.

Then, finally and definitely important! God our Creator. God your loving Father. Created Man.

The Creator God, Elohim created the visible universe. “And God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.” (Genesis 1:31, ESV) Your Creator God rules over His Creations. He provides for its needs.

God’s love for you is expressed in song and poem in 1 Corinthians. In verses, four through eight God’s Word emphasizes how His love for you is truly never-ending. “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” (1 Corinthians 13:4–8, ESV)

At times, you and I step away from God’s love. “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8, ESV) You need to be loved by your Father. God never ceases to love you. But you, in your humanity. Are weak. you stumble away from His love. God is so appealing. God is so approachable.

God, the Holy Spirit groans in prayer to the Father on your behalf. God is LOVE! Your Father listens. Almighty God loves His eternal companion, His Holy Spirit. It goes without saying that God is going to listen to Him. “Likewise the Spirit helps us with our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.” (Romans 8:26, ESV)

God the Holy Spirit stirs your spirit. He urges you to turn to the instructions and wisdom of God’s Holy Word. So you do. God the Holy Spirit leads you to the verses, songs and hymns speaking of God’s love. Each miraculous and inspired Word touches your heart.

God is love. God is your loving Father. He wrote His Holy Scripture through the inspired hand of man. God your Father extends His welcoming, forgiving and comforting hand of Love. God your Father offers His hand through His Holy Word. His Word teaches His beloved adopted children of His love.

Your task. Your challenge is to accept His pure and perfect love. Every time you stumble away from His love. You beg for forgiveness. You once more profess your belief, your faith, trust and love in Jesus, God the Son. You announce your complete acceptance that Christ your Lord is indeed the risen Son of God. “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” (Ephesians 2:8–9, ESV)

Then bask in the sunshine of God’s soul-saving love. You then experience a love like no other, today and your tomorrows.** **“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10b, ESV) You have something so miraculous. You have an eternity of being loved by God your Father. “But our citizenship is in Heaven, and from it we await a Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ,” (Philippians 3:20, ESV)

Almighty God loves you deeply. He has planned to spend eternity with you. This plan was designed and created even before you were born. God the Father, is the perfect architect and home builder. God in His Heaven.** **“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with Me that you also may be where I am.” (John 14:3, ESV)

God the Creator of all that there is. He is preparing for you a Heavenly home. Where you will dwell in His presence forever. You spend endless hours imagining of such a heavenly home.

• A home where labour is a labour of love.

Where chores are done willingly and all for the glory and honour of God. Where fatigue and hunger exists no more. Where neighbours greet neighbours with such sweet Godly love. Where angels and men mix. All to sing, praise and worship their God. You won’t need homes built of bricks and mortar.

• God your Father is your Heavenly home.
• God’s Holy Word leads you to His love.

Those who love Him through the diligent study of His Holy Word. Have a Heavenly home prepared and waiting.

• Faithful servants who search His Holy Word for instructions on how to obey His law. “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” (1 John 3:1, ESV)
