We are not Jewish,
But, my oldest is great at making plans to save the world. He listens to podcasts (mostly mythical or spooky things, with some more contemporary religious content thrown in there) and he got really into Jewish golems (obviously sparked by the minecraft reference). He started making them out of clay and assigning them tasks to do while he was at school. It started with environmental stuff (pick up all the litter) and moved on to more social-emotional (teach grownups to be safe to kids). So, he’s writing his messages on tiny pieces of paper and handing them to these little clay lumps until he decides they cannot carry out the task due to the language barrier. I was tasked with writing out the Hebrew in print small enough for the golems to hold and told with a great deal of force that it was important to get it right. I tried my best and I’m not sure if it worked, but it’s nice to think that maybe there was some good done with the power of clay and google translate.
