Gavin Newsom vs J D Vance Running For President in 2028

After hearing about Trump Trump Trump the past three weeks or so, and the winner of this cycle done and dusted, my mind has already turned to the next.

Even though there are midterms between now and then, they don’t exactly get my legs trembling with excitement, though I admit they are interesting.

Of course, they are essential, and if the Democrats regain one of the other branches, that will weaken Trump’s power.

I was thinking about it as I read a comment from my brother, Stephen Sovie. I mean, not literally my brother, but I think you know what I mean!

Though that would be my honor, he is a lovely, sensitive man with a passion for politics that rivals, and perhaps even supersedes, my own.

At the thought of 2028, I felt a rush of enthusiasm coarse through my body, which prompted this article. I had another one planned, but I’ll post it tomorrow as it’s a little special.

I mentioned who I thought would fight it out in 2028 on election eve.

In the days since then, Gavin has made some moves that are telegraphing his intentions for 2028.

He spoke yesterday about being inclusive for Democrats and Republicans.

You go, Gav!

Vance is an easy pick, as he is the vice president. No one should be able to challenge and win against a sitting vice president to run for president.

He is also quite young, so health should not be an issue.

On the Dem side, however, there will be many contenders.

I saw a poll the other day about who the Democrats want to run. Over 40% said they wanted Harris. Gav was a distant second. It makes sense; she just lost, and they feel bad for her.

However, there will be a long and extensive primary process to decide on the candidate.

I can see no one on the Democratic side who could compete with and beat Newson.

Personally, I think his time has come.

He will be 58 next time, a perfect age to take over as president. Not another old geezer or some young whippersnapper wet behind the ears.
