Harvest of Rupture: Adoption and the Extraction of Human Suffering

A Thought Experiment
Many people dismiss Robert Monroe’s concept of loosh as fringe material. A former radio executive who claimed to have out-of-body experiences and wrote about energy harvested from human emotion…this is not mainstream science. The Gnostic texts about Archons feeding on souls belong to ancient religious traditions, not peer-reviewed journals.
But set aside whether loosh is real. Treat it as a thought experiment.
If such an energy existed, what human experience would produce it in abundance? What event generates raw, primal terror in the victim, lifelong grief in parents, ambient anxiety in siblings, and chronic dread in caregivers? What transaction sets off decades of suffering across multiple people from a single moment of rupture?
Newborn adoption would be a loosh farm. Maternal amputation would be the harvest.
The Infant’s Endless Surge
An infant separated from its mother experiences pure helpless terror. No words to process it. No understanding to contextualize it. Only the body, flooded with stress hormones, screaming into a void where the mother should be.
This excruciating freefall settles into the nervous system. It becomes hypervigilance, dissociation, chronic anxiety. A body that never relaxes because the first lesson taught that safety is an illusion.
If loosh exists, the infant alone generates it for a lifetime. Every sleepless night, triggered panic, or relationship sabotaged by fear of abandonment: all of it harvested from a single rupture.
The Mother’s Lifelong Bleeding
Most mothers who relinquish their babies do not simply stop generating loosh at the hospital’s exit door. The grief follows, as does the shame. The secret follows into marriages, friendships, and the raising of other children.
A relinquishing mother produces loosh in every moment of silence. Every time she sees a child the same age as hers. Every birthday and holiday. The nights she dreams of a face she cannot remember.
The adoption industry told her she would move on. That was a lie. She bleeds grief for decades.
The Kept Child’s Ambient Dread
Children who are kept produce their own brand of loosh. They grow up knowing, without being told, that their place in the family was secured by someone else’s expulsion. They could have been the one sent away.
This knowledge generates a low vibration thrumming with anxiety. Kept kids make the effort to perform, overachieve, and ensure they are seen as indispensable. They earn their place every day because they know places can be lost.
The Baby Scoop Feast
The Baby Scoop Era, roughly 1945 to 1975, saw millions of infants surrendered worldwide. A veritable feast for any entity that might feed on the horrific pain produced by maternal amputation at birth. The scale of suffering produced during those decades staggers the imagination.
If loosh exists, the Baby Scoop Era was less a social phenomenon than an absolute feeding frenzy. Perhaps it was planned that way.
The Sealed Record as Loosh Battery
The sealed record serves multiple purposes. It protects the adoption industry from scrutiny, erases the child’s origin, and permanently traps torment. The grief, longing, and unanswered questions are all locked away, preserved, unable to dissipate.
These hidden secrets function as loosh batteries. The pain cannot escape. It stays contained, generating energy indefinitely. An adoptee who cannot access their origin produces new loosh every time they try and fail.
The Search as Release
An adoptee who searches for their origin begins to drain the battery. Each piece of information releases some trapped energy. A reunion, if it happens, may release even more.
The system resists this release. Courts deny access, agencies refuse to help, parents claim privacy, and adoptee human rights remain inaccessible throughout.
If the goal were truly to protect privacy, open records with opt-out provisions would suffice. The resistance suggests a different purpose. Keep the pain contained and the negative energy flowing. Keep the harvest coming.
The Archon Hypothesis
Gnostic texts describe Archons as entities that feed on human distress. They trap souls in the material world to harvest their energy. The Archontic sect taught that “the soul is the food of the Archons and Powers without which they cannot live.”
Whether literal beings or a metaphor for systems that profit from misery, the Archon concept fits adoption perfectly. The sealed record keeps the soul trapped, erased identity prevents escape, and the heartache never ends.
The Adoptee Who Refuses to Feed
Some adoptees eventually refuse to generate loosh. They stop performing gratitude and suppressing grief. They tell the truth about what adoption did to them.
This refusal threatens the system. An adoptee who speaks truth disrupts the harvest. Others may follow. The loosh flow may slow.
The system responds by pathologizing the truth-teller. Angry. Ungrateful. Stuck in the past. These labels push some adoptees back into silence, torment, and constant loosh production.
The Thought Experiment Revelations
Whether loosh exists or not, the thought experiment reveals something real and true. The adoption system produces immense suffering, and it serves the system’s interests. A distressed adoptee does not ask questions. A grieving mother does not fight back. Anxious relatives do not rock the boat.
The system profits from the pain it creates. The secrets, lies, stolen identities, and instruction to pretend all generate anguish that keeps the system running.
Belief in loosh is optional. Observing the cause and effect is not. Adoption causes harm. That harm perpetuates adoption. The cycle continues because someone benefits.
The thought experiment asks who. The answer does not require belief in Archons. It sits in agency ledgers, court filings, and sealed records. Human institutions profit from human suffering. Unlike metaphysics, it is a sad, observable fact.
And so the harvest continues. The question is whether the harvested ever stop being tortured. Can the adoptee refuse to feed the machine that consumed their origin? Will the truth finally starve what has been feeding on silence? Let’s aim for that. One truth-teller, one unsealed record, one refusal to perform gratitude. Each act shrinks the harvest. Bit by bit, the feast loses its hold.
