PC/PM: How I Improved an Enterprise Knowledge Base Without Coding

Most people think you need to code to improve systems. That’s not always true.

I worked on an internal knowledge base that teams used every day, but it had problems. Information was hard to find, some content was outdated, and there were duplicate files everywhere.

First, I reviewed the system to understand what was wrong. Then I talked to team members to learn what issues they were facing.

Next, I cleaned up the content. I removed outdated files, organized everything into a simple structure, and made naming consistent so it was easier to search.

One challenge was getting people to accept the new system. To solve this, I kept things simple and easy to follow.

In the end, the system became easier to use, and teams could find information faster.

This experience showed me that improving systems is about organization and problem-solving, not just technical skills.
