Made $100,000 in 2 days with a website & a payment link

A 29-year-old guy sitting in Germany had an idea.
He bought a domain for $2 and made $100,000 within 48 hours.

The idea was ridiculously simple: a website with a payment link.
He put his own SaaS at #1 on the website, and if someone wanted their product to take the #1 spot, they had to outbid him by just $2.

That’s it.
He started posting about it on Twitter, but for a while, it was all crickets.
Until one guy showed up, paid $2, and got his product to the top.

That was the first dollar. And then, everything took off.
$100,000+ in just 2 days, and it’s still counting.
The website? **outbid.lol.**
But how did all of this happen?
The story is about “hype”.
There’s always some trend going on on Twitter. And if you become the center of that trend, you get the hype.
Hype means eyeballs. Eyeballs mean traffic.
And Twitter is full of founders, indie hackers, agency owners, and freelancers.
They have money, they have products they want people to see, and if you can bring them traffic and put them in front of thousands of people, they’re more than happy to pay for it.
That’s exactly what happened with Outrank.lol.
He didn’t build some complicated SaaS. He simply created a way for people to buy the attention that the hype was already generating.
And that’s why he kept posting updates like a machine: how much traffic the website was getting, how much revenue it was making, and how much people were paying to get their products to the top.
All those updates created curiosity and FOMO among the audience on X. People clicked on the website just to see what was happening, which generated even more traffic.
And that traffic attracted founders, agency owners, freelancers, and other people who wanted to put their products in front of those eyeballs.
It started with $1, then $2, $10, $100, $1,000, and eventually even $10,000.
And it didn’t stop there.
Someone even paid $12,669 to get their product to the top, and it’s still counting.

The fun part is, Jonathan, the founder, received a DM just 12 hours after launching, when the website had barely crossed $1,000, offering to buy it for $100,000.

The buyer clearly understood what was happening.
More traffic creates more attention. More attention creates more FOMO. More FOMO brings more people to the website, which means more money, and that creates even more FOMO.
It was a loop, and the buyer knew this fire wasn’t going to stop this early.
But Jonathan was smart enough not to sell.
And eventually, he made $100,000 in just 48 hours.
This is also why I built IdeaFast. Instead of guessing what to build, IdeaFast helps you find real customer pain people are discussing online, so you can spot opportunities before you build.
But how did he know it would work?
Actually, it’s a pattern.
Back in December 2025, there was a trend on X where people were posting fake MRR screenshots to get engagement.
Marc Lou acted on it and built **TrustMRR** — a website where you could connect your Stripe read-only key and verify your MRR.
Because it was built around a trend that was already exploding on X, the website got huge traffic.
And Marc turned that traffic into money by opening up sponsorships.
Everyone noticed it.
Then, a few days ago, another trend started going around: most SaaS products could either be open-sourced or vibe-coded easily.
Rob Hallam acted on it and built canyouvibecodeit.com, a website where people could find the prompts for SaaS products that could be vibe-coded.
It followed the same model — trend → traffic → sponsorships — and it made money too.
Everyone noticed the pattern.
Jonathan cracked it.
Hype → Traffic → Money.
So instead of building another directory or sponsorship website, he turned the hype itself into a game.
He created an outbidding game that was incredibly tempting to founders, and that simple mechanic created a huge burst of money in just 48 hours.
Since then, many copycats have started emerging, with people trying to build their own creative version of the idea.
But the rule remains the same:
Hype → Traffic → Money.
The idea can change. The website can change. The monetization can change.
But if you can capture attention while everyone is already talking about something, you can turn that attention into traffic, and traffic into money.
