Closing Out the Year Strong

Crashr Development Updates

As we wrapped up 2024, we’re thrilled to share the latest progress from our team! After months of effort, we’ve achieved major milestones that will significantly improve Crashr’s performance, scalability, and user experience. Here’s an in-depth look at what’s been accomplished and what’s on the horizon beginning 2025.

Major Database Restructuring

Our team has completed a comprehensive overhaul of our database infrastructure. This transformative step aims to enhance query performance and ensure a seamless user experience.

Key highlights include:

Rearchitected Database Optimized for faster queries, including boosted search speeds and efficient retrieval of JPG listed assets.

Data Extraction Reducer Designed to pull data from blocks more efficiently.

UI Integration A seamless merge with our existing platform, making Crashr the ultimate one-stop shop for trading.

Backend Development Updates

Our backend has undergone significant improvements, including:

Fully Deployed and Synced Indexers: We now have 42 indexers grouped into six categories: JpgV1, JpgV2, Crashr, Metadata, Prices, and Asset Tracking.

Sync speeds have greatly improved:

  • Crashr data syncs in approximately one day.
  • JPG data syncs in 2–3 days.
  • Metadata and asset tracking, syncing from the beginning of the blockchain, still perform significantly faster than before.

Optimized APIs With millions of records (~100GB of data), API queries that previously took seconds now execute in milliseconds. These optimizations will enhance the user experience once fully integrated.

Team Testing We successfully stress-tested the system with over 1 million data points, confirming stability and performance improvements, around 100gb worth.

Current Deployment Status

We’re in the final stages of deploying the latest updates, and we’re excited to share the progress. The updated database structure is now live in our Demeter testing environment, where we’ve successfully completed data synchronization. Here are some key highlights prepared for the upcoming deployment:

  • Fixed CIP-68-related asset display issues.
  • Improved query speed dramatically.
  • Addressed infrastructure scalability to support millions of records, targeting 12 million records per table in the near term.

These updates are designed to ensure our server infrastructure scales effortlessly with increasing data demands, paving the way for a seamless user experience as we continue to grow.

UI Integration Progress

Our UI team has been hard at work integrating the new backend infrastructure. Here’s what’s been achieved:

  • Significant bug fixes stemming from backend optimizations (a detailed change log will follow once integration is complete).
  • Ongoing API integration

We’re on track to finalize these integrations in early January.

Deployment Timeline

The optimized version of Crashr is expected to go live during the week of January 9th, 2025.
