☁️ Exploring Cloud Computing: My Experience Volunteering at GDG Jamia Hamdard

Being part of GDG Jamia Hamdard has been one of the most exciting parts of my college journey so far. It’s a space where students, developers, and tech enthusiasts come together to learn, build, and share ideas — and every event feels like a new opportunity to grow.

Recently, I had the chance to volunteer for our first session on Cloud Computing, and it turned out to be a truly insightful experience.

The session kicked off our new learning series on Cloud Computing — a technology that has become the backbone of almost every modern application. From streaming platforms to enterprise systems, cloud infrastructure makes everything scalable, secure, and efficient.

As students, it’s easy to use these technologies without realizing the power behind them — and this session helped bridge that gap.

A huge shoutout to Faraz Khan, who led the session with clarity and enthusiasm. He explained the core concepts of Cloud Computing in such a simple, practical way — from how data is stored and accessed on the cloud to the differences between IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.

His examples and real-world use cases made the topic much more relatable for everyone, especially for students stepping into the tech world.

💭 What I Learned as a Volunteer

Volunteering for this session was an experience in itself. It wasn’t just about helping with organization — it was about being part of a community that learns together. Seeing students engage, ask questions, and genuinely enjoy learning reminded me why I love being in GDG Jamia Hamdard.

Personally, I learned how crucial the cloud is in today’s tech landscape — especially how it powers collaboration, innovation, and growth in nearly every field.
