On ‘Everything’…

Everything Is, In Fact, Infinity.

Shall we be honest with ourselves for a few sentences? Let’s begin, if the answer is “yes”…

What we call “everything” is in fact only a portion of things; and this portion, when set against what “everything” truly ought to be, is nothing. These are only what we can reach, understand, and what is permitted to us. Even all that we cannot solve or comprehend cannot be “everything.”

In its true sense, “everything” is infinity; bound to the present moment, there is actually no such thing as “everything.” What we can reach, understand, or fail to reach and fail to understand — all of it is limited to what is permitted. And those things can never be “everything.” At most, they are all that we have reached and understood — the misused “everything.”

We constantly witness new developments. We discover what we did not know. Discoveries and inventions emerge from what we learn anew. New technologies and new creations evolve our lives. I do not wish to prolong the matter; I only want to give a few examples of my own. Before AI existed, we called “everything” what we could reach and understand. Before the Walkman, we listened to music on the record player. At that time too, we called “everything” what we could reach and understand…

So, if “everything” has no end, then “everything” is, in fact, infinity…

The only authority who truly knows what “everything” is, and who can use the concept of “everything” as it deserves, is none other than the One who created that “everything.” Knowing that we cannot reach that far, we must be grateful for what we can reach, understand, and what is permitted to us.

With respect to the true “everything” — which includes what we know, what we cannot understand, what we cannot reach, what we cannot see or hear, and what we cannot feel — namely, infinity and the Creator…
