Among Crowded Gazes
Sometimes, the place we think is the end is actually where everything begins.
Among Crowded Gazes
Sometimes, the place we think is the end is actually where everything begins.
This poem is a personal journey through struggle, silence, and hope — a testimony to the power of believing in yourself when the world seems to demand you follow a path already written by others. It speaks to those moments when you step away from the familiar, face exhaustion, and yet find within yourself the courage to start again — slowly, mindfully, and with unwavering faith.
“Among Crowded Gazes” is a reminder that strength isn’t always loud or fast. Sometimes it’s quiet endurance, patient waiting, and the bravery to walk your own rhythm — no matter how slow or uncertain it may seem.
One day I told myself: “The place you think is the end Is actually where you begin.”
Even in the moments I fell, I believed Somewhere, a light would turn on, Late but sincere.
Tears in my eyes, Broken words scattered inside me, Yet on my lips, silent prayers formed.
Only I knew what waiting meant, Because hope, when spoken out loud, Could easily shatter.
I stayed silent… If I spoke, my heart wouldn’t fit into words. I hid it; because some dreams, Are crushed by the weight of many eyes.
Once, there was a system known by my name, Every stone in its place, Rules written by someone else’s hand.
I stepped outside that order, Heading toward maps where familiar names didn’t appear.
Behind me, no familiar signature, Ahead, no ready-made sentences.
There was only me, And my faith An inner voice that speaks when the time is right.
Yes, I got tired… But this weariness was not giving up, It was actually a rebirth.
Stopping isn’t quitting, Sometimes it’s simply allowing yourself to be heard.
Now, I begin, Calmly, thoughtfully, And with full awareness:
Life doesn’t favor the fast runner; It loves the one who walks Slowly, to their own rhythm.
Today, I keep the promise I made to myself: Even if I get tired, I won’t stop. Even if I pause, I won’t give up. No matter what happens, I will never turn back from myself.
