Getting Back Up After Falling Down

Direction Challenge #1: Dear Creative People: Let’s Create Something Inspired by a Song.

There’s a song I grew up listening to as a kid from Donnie McClurkin that has given me hope in the moments when I feel weak. The song is called “We Fall Down,” and it reminds me that no matter what I’ve done or the decisions that I’ve made, I can find the strength to get back up.

To anyone who is like me and finds themselves making bad decisions after bad decisions after… well, you get the point, this song is for you.

When I find myself battling against myself, and I feel as though I have failed, I’m encouraged to listen to this song and get a second wind after finding my footing. I find strength in getting back up even though I find myself being comfortable in my down state of mind. I find strength in reaching out to the people that love me the most and help me to get back on my feet to try it again. I find strength knowing that I’m not alone in this journey called life.

No matter where you are in life, no matter how much money you have, no matter how popular you are in certain spaces, everyone falls, but the bigger question is: what are you going to do to get back up… again?
