REPORTER: Ok, so take us through what happened.
I woke up to my wife trembling beside me with her hand squeezing my arm. My eyes quickly adjusted to find a look of terror upon her face.
I read her lips,
“Someone’s out there.”
I could hear the rustling in the living room.
My wife began to pray, her voice shook through her whispering.
Something in me snapped. I had no gun — no taser, no knife, no pepper spray — nothing.
But my wife’s words calmed my mind, and I slid out of bed quietly and grabbed a picture frame off the wall. I placed the picture frame gently on the bed and smashed it beneath a pillow to muffle the sound. I took the biggest shard of glass into my hand and I peaked around the corner. “Daddy?”
Her innocent voice. She thought I was coming into her room.
I saw the man raise the gun toward her bed so I sprinted out. Next thing I knew, I was covered in blood.
Is… is that all you wanted to know?
REPORTER: Well, I’m glad none of you were harmed. How are you feeling now that everything is over?
I need to speak to a priest.
REPORTER: Why is that?

REPORTER: For killing the intruder? I think you did what you h-
