Celebrating 10 Years of Love, Life, and the Road to Healing

From Surviving to Thriving

In 1998, I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. At the time, I had no idea how deeply this diagnosis would shape my life — or how much strength I would find in the years that followed. A decade later, in 2008, I underwent life-saving surgery that gave me a second chance. I didn’t know what the future would hold. I wasn’t sure if I’d ever have a normal life, a family, or even the confidence to be myself again.

Today, I’m celebrating something I once thought impossible: my 10-year wedding anniversary with my amazing wife & partner. I’m here, not just surviving, but truly living.

Like many of the chapters before it, this one hasn’t been without challenges. But it’s also been filled with more joy and meaning than I ever expected.

My partner Hann has been my consigliere through all the ups and downs — my trusted partner, sounding board, and biggest supporter. I wouldn’t have made it this far without her. Together, we’re truly blessed to be raising two young daughters who remind us every day what this journey has all been for.

I’m deeply grateful to my parents and my family who helped me through the toughest years — when I was sick, scared, and uncertain. Their love and support kept me going when I didn’t think I could. I wouldn’t be here without them.

I’m thankful beyond words for the doctors who saved my life, for the surgery that gave me a second chance, and for the people I’ve met along the way who helped me turn my pain into purpose.

Since that turning point in 2008, my life has been dedicated to helping others who face similar challenges. I founded a company that creates ostomy support belts — products designed not just for function, but to give people confidence, freedom, and dignity after surgery. I’ve seen firsthand how something as simple as a well-made belt can help someone feel whole again.

This journey hasn’t always been easy, but it’s been worth it. If you’re out there struggling right now, wondering if life will ever feel normal again — please know that there’s hope. You can heal. You can love. You can thrive.

I’m living proof.
