On July 20, 1969, the world was shocked when the first people to set foot on the moon were Neil Armstrong and his colleague, Buzz Aldrin. Now, after 53 years, this year Buzz Aldrin at the age of 92 will auction the memento from the moon.

Not in the form of soil or rocks from the moon, but astronaut suits, artifacts, and documents from when Aldrin was about to set foot on the moon.

The astronaut suit that Aldrin wore on the Apollo 11 mission will be the main star of this auction. The estimated presale price ranges from 1 to 2 million US dollars. In addition to the astronaut suit, which is expected to reach the same price range are a circuit breaker and a pen that has a special story about the Apollo 11 mission.

These two items became historic when Armstrong and Aldrin were preparing to take off from the moon to the Command Module, but the circuit breaker broke. Aldrin then used the tip of the pen to start the engine. Items that are almost at the end of Armstrong and Aldrin’s journey, as well as things that save their lives, are items that are considered to have a strong story and deserve to be shared with the public so they can ‘feel being a Buzz Aldrin’.

Aldrin will also auction off documents in the form of a checklist for the activation of the Apollo 11 LM system, including notes made by Aldrin while on the moon. The auction price of this document is expected to reach 150 thousand to 250 thousand US dollars.
